Position Summary:
The Regional Safety Supervisor is responsible for development of the work force to ensure that the employees maintain the highest safety standards and efficiency while upholding our commitment of excellence to our customers.
Job Duties:
Develop, implement and oversee safety programs and initiatives across multiple warehouse locations
Conduct daily safety observations, audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, NFPA and ANSI regulations and standards as well as company policies
Collaborate with warehouse management and Risk Manager to identify hazards and implement corrective measures
Provide training and guidance to staff on safety practices, emergency procedures, and incident reporting
Analyze safety data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
Prepare reports and present findings to senior management regarding safety performance and recommendations
Foster a culture of safety within the organization by promoting awareness and accountability among employees
Instruct employees on proper care of all Action Logistics and customer equipment (i.e., Forklifts, Pallet Jacks and Spotter Units). Immediately handle any damage to equipment by completing the necessary paperwork and communicating the information to Risk Manager and local management.
Responsible for monitoring site safety program, following up on site weekly observations.
Maintain standards outlined in Action Logistics Safety Plan.
Assist in filling out Incident Reports and on-site investigations.
Manage post-incident protocols and worker's compensation claims to closure.
Skills/Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills is essential. Bi-Lingual: Spanish/English.(Read/Write).
• Knowledge of and ability to apply organizational and safety operations and procedures, safety methods and practices.
• Bachelor's degree or at least (5)years or related supervisory or safety supervisory experience.
• Technical skills, proficient with MS Office Suite, One Drive, Sharepoint, Project Management Tools, Learning Management Systems, Incident Reporting Software, Risk assessment tools, mobile apps, presentation platforms as well as video conferencing solutions.
• Knowledge of warehouse and manufacturing processes and related safety and health concerns and risk reduction techniques.
• Loss control experience in the industries noted above.
• High degree of self motivation and discipline.
• Ability to demonstrate moral character, honesty, tact and fairness.
• Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines and have the ability to travel and work beyond the normally scheduled workweek as necessary. Please note that there will be an expectation of at least (50) hours a week with weekends or holidays required as the situation demands.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, ANSI and/or NFPRA standards is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and quality oriented; proficient with spreadsheet analysis, report writing.
• Knowledge of business English/Spanish, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic.
• Excellent reliability, initiative, and stress tolerance.
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• High school diploma/GED
• 5+ years of Manufacturing or Production experience highly preferred
